The Certified Professional in Insurance (CPII) designation benefits all, regardless of previous experience or education. This program is designed to provide an in-depth analysis of the coverage limitations and exclusions along with the endorsements rendering the solution for the gap in coverage. Insurance professionals often pride themselves on understanding the most complex details of the most common coverages that protect their customer’s assets. These same agents often neglect to provide accurate information regarding what is not covered and what can be done to provide that protection. This designation will offer a proper analysis of the applicable endorsement and will give the agent the knowledge to determine if the endorsement is limited or sufficient.

Agents will learn how to successfully review accounts and maintain solid agent/customer relationships by educating each customer as to what is covered and not covered within the policies they are buying. By learning how to make sure that customers are never underinsured, agents minimize the chance of uncovered losses and E&O issues at the time of claim.
The CPII program will expand your expertise in all areas of property, specialty lines, liability, residential risk and automobile coverages. The property section will include limitations on items such as; leased property, retaining walls, mold and pollutants, boiler and machinery, international risk, inland marine and other specialty areas of exposure. The specialty lines section offers an analysis of ISO and AAIS inland marine coverage forms.
The liability section includes topics such as coverage forms analysis, building contractor’s liability, personal injury, audits, workers compensation and more. Worldwide exposure limitations can be found in the residential risk section along with information regarding students at school, business in the home and an analysis of endorsements limitations, flood and excess flood comparisons. Last but not least the automobile section will answer questions such as who is an insured and what vehicles are covered, while educating about newly acquired changes and diminished values.
This five part designation program is designed to provide the insurance professional the tools necessary to analyze the risk and determine what additional coverages are available to cover the gaps created by the policy. Further knowledge will be gained for risk analysis in specialty areas. Agents will benefit by increasing their proficiency and sharing their knowledge with their customer.
